5 Foot Chicken II

I just crept back onto the blog that is home to the 5-foot Chicken.  If you did not originally flip to the link, I BEG you to read it.  Way too funny.  I think I am going to start following her blog. Yesterday, she posted an update to the 5-foot chicken.

Today, she posted a speech that she recently did at a conference.  It is about 10 minutes long, but it fits well with my happiness project. She reminds people to do crazy, stupid, silly things, because those crazy, stupid, silly things can bring you happiness and, more often than not, those things can bring happiness to other people.

I started to think of some of the crazy, stupid, silly things I have done. Not surprisingly, most of them were done while drinking.  I thought back to when I used feverishly dance behind anyone who thought it was cool to grind and make out on the dance floor.  They would be so caught up in swapping slobber, they wouldn't even notice me right behind them.  LOL. I was reminded of my friend, Aimee's stagette. We did a scavenger hunt and as a joke, I put, "get a police escort back to Jordan's farm" as the last item on the list. At the end of the night, our group came flying down the gird only to see the flashing red and blue lights slowly moving up our driveway. The other group actually did it. Hilarious. I still can't believe my team lost.

In fact, the more I think about it, the more I realize that I have not done NEARLY enough silly things in my life. And, I need to start doing some silly things when beer isn't involved, because lets face it, I have a 2.5 year old and for me drinking and being able to function the next day DO NOT go hand-in-hand.

First things first. I have never road the Tisdale Bee.  I grew up in Tisdale.  How did I miss out on that? I am probably the only Tisdalian never to have done it! Next time I am home, I am doing it.

Second, I am going to start looking for a 5 foot chicken.

  1. You should have come to NKOTBSB with me. Absolute silliness defined. Also- I saw something like that 5 foot chicken at HomeSense the other day and definitely thought of you. Not because I think you merit a chicken at your doorstep, but b/c you got me hooked on her blog.
