Empty Nursery

Calder is currently sleeping in his big boy bed in his big boy room. He went to sleep without a hitch. Calder was supposed to have his first night in the big boy room February 18 (the first night of the break), but obviously Tripp had other plans. We have tried a couple times since then to move Calder in, but all attempts have failed(and quite frankly we didn't try that hard). I shed a couple of tears after I said goodnight and closed the door. The nursery is now officially empty.

  1. bittersweet I can imagine...for so many reasons.

I hope he keeps sleeping well for you. My niece transitioned without a hitch and then two weeks ago her bedtime turned into a nightmare. She just will not stay in her room and cries bloody murder:( She can get out of a crib so it was time for the move but watching this tonight (we are visiting) was uber frustrating and I feel sorry for all of them. Have no idea what she will do when baby is here....how do you get a stubborn two year old to stay in her bed and go to sleep?!?!?

  3. I hope with time the severity of the pain will lessen for you. We can't fathom raising another baby in Jaren's room. If we ever get to the point where we decide to have another we will have to move. Right now Jaren's room has become my safe place to spend time with him and type away on the computer. I hope that Calder will continue to sleep well in his big boy bed. Hope everything is well with you and your family.
