Getting My Body Back

When I am pregnant, my braxton hicks contractions severely limit what I can do, physically.  This time postpartum, my c-section incision severely limited what I could.  This means, that since last August I was constantly aware of the limitations of my body. . .Until yesterday.  Yesterday was the first day my body didn't stop me from doing something.  In the morning, I did running around with Calder.  In the afternoon and into the evening, I was busy getting things ready for Calder's birthday party.  At one point in the evening, I actually stopped what I was doing and reveled in the fact that my body felt good.  I was tired and my feet were a bit sore, but my body wasn't angry at me for being busy.  It felt amazing.  Today when the birthday party had ended and I was getting lunch ready for Hugh and I's families, I had another moment of awareness.  I guess having my body feel good will take a bit of getting used to.  My incision is still healing, but it feels so good to have some semblance of my body back.
