Catch Up

I haven't been finding the time to blog and have been feeling guilty about it! Why do I do that to myself?! LOL

Here is a quick catch up . . . Mostly in photos!
Halloween came and went. These costumes will likely go down as my favourite of all time. I am actually hopeful that the kids want to dress the same next year. It was a gorgeous evening on the 31st. No snow, no breeze, no toques needed. We had our usual 150 trick-or-treaters who were all done by 7:30 pm.

I took the ultrasound photos down from our fridge about a week ago. This was emotional for me. Those big ones on the bottom were Tripp's, so they have been there 5 years. I have looked at them many times and wondered how long I would leave them up. They likely would have been up longer, but Lawson's picture at the front is starting to crack. I felt like if I was taking hers down, they all needed to come down. Hugh noticed right away that I removed them. It was a moment for him too.

I don't know a kid who doesn't love toilet paper. Luckily she hasn't figured out that the toilet is full of water yet. She has discovered Cleo's water dish which is problematic enough!

These two are pros at hanging out in the cart. I'm so glad that Lawson sits so well. She is way too big to lug around in her bucket seat and quite frankly, it is nice to grab some groceries and have some place to put them. That seat takes up a lot of space!

Hugh and I are starting a homemade pizza tradition. A coworker makes them every Friday. I'm not that good yet, so we are going to do it every couple of weeks. We have made pizza three times so far and I must say we perfected this recipe on Sunday. I have done a good job of stocking our pantry with pineapple and mushrooms and our freezer with pizza meat. I also bought a huge bag ($25 worth) of mozzarella cheese from Costco that is living in our garage since it is too big for the fridge. Whenever we feel like pizza, we have the ingredients! Our next stop is trying a chicken bacon ranch. Mmmmmm.

Not the greatest pictures, but I wore this when Hugh and I went out to a comedian last Friday. I felt grown-up in it!  Glad I got one last wear out of those booties. I can not have my ankles showing now that there is snow on the ground! The only thing new is the Harry Potter t-shirt. If you are looking for something unique, try redbubble.com!
I wore this to meet my new math department yesterday. In February, I am off to a new school and had the opportunity this week to meet some of my colleagues. Please ignore the mess in the entrance! Hard to tell but my pants are burgundy and I am wearing my brown riding boots. It will take some visualization on your part to truly get the essence of this outfit!

Phew. That felt good to get some things written out!

Have a great weekend!
